What do you mean about exporting, exactly? I have selected all my photos in a folder and exported them to a new subfolder of the original photos (I ought to just replace them...). Is that what you are doing?
The only thing I'm slightly freaked out about is that my friend who took those amazing pictures of the girls in February? She used LR and when she exported the pics, they were all low-res (best I could print was a 5x7) even though she took the photos with very high-resolution. And she couldn't fix it. I haven't actually checked any of my exported pics to see if the res has changed...
Okay, I JUST saw that when you export to a folder, you can choose the percentage quality. The default on mine was small -- like 50%. I just bumped it up to 100%.
