party girl

Today we went to Katy's 2nd birthday party. Kate was the youngest (as usual), and it was fun to see her interact a little with the 2 year olds. Mostly, she played by herself, but she was interested in what the big girls were doing.

Megan in the house.

Katy & Megan at the table.

Matthew & Katy.

Kate got to get all dressed up for the party. She even got to wear a birthday hat!

Overall we had a great time! Happy Birthday, Katy!

That middle picture of her is just priceless. I guess you don't have the irrational fear of toddlers and germs that I do!?

I don't know how to keep Kate away from all the germs that are everywhere, so I try to just ignore that they are on everything she touches. I certainly try to keep her away from icky things before I can wipe them off with a wetwipe, but I try to have peace about the fact that I can't get all of 'em!

Just a comment from an old far....er....fellow. Babies have to encounter germs, ie, eat dirt, to develope their immune systems. Most people that have alergy problems later in life...never ate any good dirt.
Love that pretty little girl,
Uncle Bob

I kind of agree with you, Uncle Bob. Of course, I draw lines, like not letting her sit in many shopping carts without her floppy seat. Who knows what is on those! Gross.

I'll toss my baby into any adult's arms....even random checker people at the grocery store (probably very dumb)...but its KIDS that totally freak me out!! They pick their butts and noses and then want to touch my baby's mouth. BLECHHHH!!!!

Sorry it's taken me so long to check out your blog again. I think I'm about a month behind in reading your updates. It was so fun to see Kate in Mykenzie's pink party dress! I'll try to check things out more often now that we're back home.
